Defined Detail

Auto Detailing FAqs

Do you offer ceramic coatings?
Yes. Ceramic coatings provide long-term protection against:
•UV damage
•Road grime
•Brake dust
•Chemical contaminants
Coatings range from 3-10 years of protection. They also make maintenance significantly easier.
How long does a full detail take?
It depends on the size and condition of the vehicle. Most details take anywhere from 4–8 hours. Heavily soiled interiors or paint correction services can require a full day or more. Ceramic coating typically takes 2 days to complete.
 Do you offer paint correction?
Yes. We offer multi-stage paint correction to remove swirl marks, oxidation, and light scratches. This service restores depth and gloss before applying protection.
 Can detailing remove scratches?
Light surface scratches and swirl marks can often be corrected. Deep scratches that go through the clear coat may require touch-up or body work. We do NOT do body work in-house but have a number of shops we trust and referrer clients too.
 Will detailing remove stains?
Most stains can be significantly improved or fully removed depending on how long they’ve been set and the material affected. We assess each case individually.
 What products do you use?
We use professional-grade, paint-safe, and interior-safe products designed specifically for automotive surfaces. We never use harsh chemicals that risk long-term damage.
 Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A deposit secures your appointment time and protects both parties from cancellations.
How do I maintain my vehicle after a detail?
We recommend:
•Regular maintenance washes
•Avoiding automatic car washes
•Proper drying techniques
•Scheduled protection reapplications
We can also create a maintenance plan tailored to you.
Is detailing worth it before selling my vehicle?
Absolutely. A properly detailed vehicle not only shows you care but photographs better, and can increase resale value significantly.
Do I need to empty my vehicle before my appointment?
Yes. Please remove personal belongings before your scheduled detail so we can focus entirely on cleaning and restoration.
What’s the difference between a car wash and a professional detail?
Think of a car wash as the “Fast Food” of car care. It's ok every once in a while to remove surface dirt, road salts and debris in a pinch, BUT it can be damaging to your vehicle's paint if used frequently. A professional detail deep cleans, restores, and protects every surface — paint, interior materials, trim, and more. Detailing prevents long-term damage and preserves vehicle value.
How often should I get my vehicle detailed?
For most vehicles, every 3–6 months is ideal. If you have kids, pets, commute daily, or park outside, more frequent maintenance is recommended. Have you heard about our subscription based packages?
What’s the difference between wax and ceramic coating?
Wax provides short-term protection (weeks to a few months). Ceramic coating provides long-term protection (Up to 10 years) with enhanced gloss, water repellency, and easier maintenance.
 Do you remove pet hair?
Yes. Pet hair removal is included in interior services, though excessive buildup may require additional time and may affect pricing.
Do you come to me or do I drop off?
•Fully insured mobile pick up and delivery service at your location
or
•Drop-off at our shop location Some services can be done on site

(Service areas)
How much does a detail cost?
Pricing depends on vehicle size, condition, and services selected. We provide transparent quotes after assessing your vehicle to ensure accuracy.
What if my vehicle is extremely dirty?
We specialize in restoration-level details. Severely neglected vehicles may require additional time and pricing adjustments after inspection.
 Do you offer maintenance plans?
Yes. We offer scheduled maintenance programs to keep your vehicle consistently protected and looking its best year-round.
Do you remove stains and odors?
We can remove most stains and neutralize odors caused by:
•Food spills
•Smoke
•Pets
•Mold and mildew
Severe contamination may require specialized Ozone treatment.
Is detailing worth it for an older vehicle?
Absolutely. Even older vehicles benefit from deep cleaning and paint correction. It improves appearance, resale value, and overall driving experience.
